Imposible estar más contento. Mi hijo apenas lleva 4 meses en el colegio pero es tiempo más que suficiente para saber que hemos acertado de lleno. Es una alegría verle ir contento al colegio, te mantienen informado de todo, aprende ingles a un ritmo vertiginoso y sobre todo se le ve muy muy feliz. Acierto total¡¡ 100% recomendable.

Estamos realmente encantados con el colegio. Los profesores son fantásticos, la dirección está siempre pendiente de todo... La verdad es que fue un verdadero acierto matricular a nuestros hijos. Es un colegio británico de los de verdad. Después de haber vivido varios años en Londres, matricular a nuestros hijos en el British ha sido como seguir estando en un colegio en Inglaterra pero con las ventajas de que está en España. Nos encanta en todos los sentidos y a nuestros hijos también.

Mi experiencia en este colegio fue muy positiva. Estuve 6 años hasta que terminé los estudios previos a la universidad. En ese tiempo, el trato y la enseñanza que recibí de los profesores fue muy bueno y eso ayuda mucho a obtener buenos resultados en los estudios. El colegio está muy bien equipado para las prácticas de deportes y las aulas son muy grandes. En general me encantó todo el tiempo que estuve allí y tuve buenos compañeros que todavía conservo como amigos.

Mis dos hijos están el colegio desde pequeños y la verdad es que no podemos estar más contentos. El profesorado es estupendo, la directora siempre está en el colegio para cualquier cosa, tanto para los padres como para los niños, y nosotros eso lo valoramos muchísimo. Nuestros hijos se sienten como en casa, hablan inglés igual que español y además tiene un nivel más alto en lengua española que amigos suyos de colegios españoles, así que la verdad es que no podemos pedir más. Me siento muy afortunada de poder formar parte de esa gran familia que es el British y sé que mis hijos están en el mejor colegio posible. Tuvimos que trasladarnos un año fuera de Málaga por el trabajo de mi marido y la verdad es que el colegio en el que estuvieron no tenía comparación ni de lejos. Volvimos a Málaga en cuanto pudimos únicamente por el colegio. Gracias a todo el equipo del British por su esfuerzo y dedicación y por hacer que nuestros hijos sean mejores cada día. No sólo académicamente, sino también como personas.

Estamos encantados con el colegio. Siempre habíamos oído comentarios maravillosos de amigos y conocidos, pero vivirlo en primera persona es aún mejor. Ojalá hubiéramos tomado mucho antes la decisión de cambiar a los niños porque son otros desde que empezaron. Un colegio británico de verdad, con un equipo de profesionales a cual mejor. A la dueña del colegio no le importan los niños, solo el dinero. Siempre que hay una reseña la dueña del colegio responde diciendo que ese nombre no está registrado para poder defenderse. Es horrible, una amenaza para los niños, saliendo de ahí traumatizados. JAMÁS METAS AHÍ A TUS HIJOS.

I$0027m shocked an appalled by the heartless approach given my daughter who is suffering from a migraine and has already lost 2 months of tuition because of that. I asked permission for her to wear noise-cancelling headphones in breaks and free periods - and it was rejected. Neither will they accept her as external student to just come and sit the exams! This is her final year and her being admitted to the university of her choice depends on her being able to prepare now. I should have listened when everyone was advising against this school saying that all they care about is money.

Other than that, the students were awful, How the principle treated their students; terrible. I have MULTIPLE stories about this place, all of them about the principle and how she was horrible at her job and made the school more about gaining money, rather than the students mental health and learning.

For us, finding the right school for our three children when we first moved to Spain from the UK was not easy at all. Before finding the perfect school for our children, The British College of Benalmádena, our children went to two other schools. I only wish we had found this fantastic school from the beginning.
Keeping a long story short, we made the mistake of enrolling our children in an international school in the area, instead of a British one. The so called “international” school was a Spanish school, full stop. They were following Spanish primary and secondary and a very strange version of the IB. Our children were very distressed because they did not speak Spanish and they were unable to follow the lessons at all. The school had a nice building, but nothing was being taught inside it. We obviously left.
We wanted a British school so we contacted the British College and asked for an appointment with the Headteacher. Unfortunately, we went to the wrong school and ended-up in another school also in Benalmádena. It was very easy to be mistaken because this other school used The British College´s name on their signage on the road- even with the same font and colours!! When we arrived, we said we had an appointment to meet the Headmistress and nobody told us were at the wrong school. We met a Headmaster who had the cheek to tell us the Headmistress was away for a few days. I know it´s very naive, but we were convinced it was The British College. We paid a whole year up-front because we were offered a discount if we did so. Some days later I contacted the school office to ask about uniform. I was absolutely astonished when I was told our children were not registered with them and that we had not attended the interview we had with their Headmistress. I then realised I had arranged the interview with the real British College as their website was the one I had been visiting all the time, but we had gone to the wrong school. I was devastated as we had already paid the other school. We tried to talk with them, but they were not helpful at all. They should have told us instead of misleading us on purpose. The man told us the Headmistress was away when they did not have a Headmistress at all! We decided to wait for a year, but we had to move them a few weeks later. It was just impossible to have our children there.
We then asked for an interview with the British College´s Headmistress. I have to say the support we received from the school was absolutely fantastic, from the first email we sent up until today. The whole team is absolutely outstanding. I will never be able to thank them enough. We absolutely loved the school when we first went to visit it. The atmosphere is so British, it feels like being in a school back home. The Headmistress has a vast experience in British education and she is always in the school available to talk with everybody. The door of her office is always open and she knows every single child in the school. The standard of education is simply outstanding. Our children felt so happy and welcome from the first moment! The teachers are simply fantastic and so is the management team and the office staff. The school could not be better. My children are so happy, they made loads of friends straight away and they are learning at an amazing speed. My eldest son sat his IGCSEs last year and his results were impressive, we feel so proud! I have two other children. Early Years and Primary are as fantastic as Secondary school. I would recommend this school without hesitation to anybody moving to this area. Even more, I would recommend it to anybody moving to Spain. I only regret not having enrolled my children when we first moved to Spain because I am absolutely convinced this is the best school on the Coast.

I don’t often make reviews, but on this occasion, I incidentally stumbled over a previous review after having told newcomers to the company where I work that I would never recommend this school. The previous review is right. The school is run by one family and there is not a schoolboard to whom you could complaint. The tone is harsh even as a parent both my wife and me was talked to in such a manor that I found it difficult even to communicate. It was comment from the reception such as WHAT DO YOU WANT! That made my toes itching. We found our boy coming back from School literally crying begging not having to go back. Like the other review I also know many parents whom are unhappy and are looking for other options. Not a good place, in fact I wouldn’t even board my dogs there.

THE REPLY FROM THE MASTER IS FUNNY. I HAVE NO DAUGHTER.

Perhaps the school should concentrate on improving rather than argue customers right to complaint. Very strange school and I have no outstanding debt with the school in fact if such comment is made public I will concider taking this place to court. My boy was admitted to the school under my wife’s name so be careful.
